Kotłownia centralna z maszynownią / Central boiler house with machine room

Budynek wzniesiony przed 1893 r., rozbudowany ok. 1897 r. Na początku XX w. mieścił kotłownię z dwoma, dobudowanymi na zewnątrz, wysokimi ceglastymi kominami, maszynownię (elektrownię), hydrofornię i stację uzdatniania wody przemysłowej. Kotły zainstalowane w kotłowni wytwarzały parę, która stanowiła główną siłę napędową Zakładów Żyrardowskich. W elektrowni umieszczono generatory prądu. W 1910 r. elektrownię zmodernizowano, instalując tu pierwsze turbozespoły parowe.

The building was erected before 1893, expanded around 1897. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the building housed a boiler house with two tall brick chimneys added on the outside, an engine room (power plant), a hydrophore room and an industrial water treatment plant. The boilers installed in the boiler house produced steam, which was the main driving force of the Żyrardów Works. Power generators were placed in the power plant. In 1910, the power plant was modernized with the installation of the first steam turbine sets.
